The Institute for Multiscale Simulation can look forward to two publications in the renowned journal "nature communications".
The first publication is titled "Increasing temperature of cooling granular gases" (doi: 10.1038/s41467-017-02803-7) and deals with the topic granular gas of aggregating particles and the influence of granular temperature. It was written by Nikolai V. Brilliantov, Arno Formella and Thorsten Pöschel.
The second paper, entitled "Rotating robots move collectively and self-organize" (doi: 10.1038/s41467-018-03154-7) focuses on the design of emergent phenomena by choosing appropriate forms of activity and particle interactions against the backdrop of biological organisms and artificial active particles organizing themselves into swarms and patterns. Authors are: Thorsten Pöschel, Michael Engel and Christian Scholz.
